Preserving the historic buildings, programs and traditions
Not only has the Minnesota State Fair been a tradition for generations of families for over 160 years, it has also reflected and shaped the culture of Minnesota and beyond. Our supporters know preserving history is important and have helped us do that. To preserve this rich history, the Foundation helps the State Fair care for its historic buildings and bring history to life for fair fans today and into the future!
Foundation donors have supported:
- The development of the History & Heritage Center and West End Market
- The restoration of the J.V. Bailey House which houses the Foundation offices
- Improvements to historic buildings such as the Lee and Rose Warner Coliseum, Robert A. Christensen Pavilion and the Agriculture Horticulture Building
- Access to the State Fair Archives and the annual State Fair History Walking Tour
